Kate Middleton Goes Emerald as Her Style Hot Streak in Canada Continues - Vanity Fair

These Kate Middleton Canada looks have been—even by Kate’s impossibly high standards—pretty absurdly excellent. The Duchess is managing to take the “mold” for her style—modern, elegant, sophisticated, mostly conservative—but add slight twists and modifications. The colors are bold and the cuts are fresh, and in general there’s this spark to each ensemble. It’s great!

Today, as the royal tour in Canada rolls on, Kate showed up to her set of appearances in a green Dolce & Gabbana dress, that retails for £2,000 (or about $2,600). It’s adorned with a series of gold buttons, and a nifty drawstring tie at the collar. The shoulders also are slightly structured, adding this sort of, dare we say it, fashion element to the look. This comes after Monday night’s red Preen dress (which was uniformly praised), as well as her sharp red-and-white McQueen on Sunday.

Kate and William made their way to Kelowna, located in Western Canada, on Tuesday, where they were greeted by, of course, the requisite well-wishers, and then visited the University of British Columbia, where they watched a women’s volleyball game.
