British soul superstar Adele had a Los Angeles concert crowd seeing double Saturday night when she invited one of her drag impersonators, Delta Work, to join her on stage and marvel at their nearly identical ensembles.
The former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant (a.k.a. Gabriel Villarreal) impressed the diva with a spot-on sequined gown, killer nails, and blonde locks. “Even your jewels are like mine,” Adele said in a moment captured on social media. “Mine looks a bit pathetic compared to yours.”
The two hugged, chatted, and snapped a selfie together, leaving Delta feeling “over the moon.”
The incident wasn’t the first time Adele blew the mind of one of her impersonators: Last month the “Hello” singer brought doppelgänger Kristie Champagne on stage for a chat, and last year she famously went undercover to prank a whole group of Adele look-alikes.
