Pandora brought together hundreds of fans at Los Angeles’ L.A. Live for a free, outdoor end-of-summer concert. The Pandora Summer Crush concert hosted pop sensations Daya, 5 Seconds of Summer and crowd winner Fergie.
The concert headlined by the three pop acts featured Pandora photo booths, food vendors and sponsor booths from Best Buy, Chevron and Post-It. Billboard caught up with Daya, who opened the concert with an hour-long set featuring the pop artist’s hits “Hide Away” and “Sit Still, Look Pretty.”

“I honestly haven’t had time to sit down and process it all, just because I’ve been on the move ever since. I’ve been doing shows in different cities everyday, and been doing festivals and radio shows,” said Daya to Billboard about her year of touring since the release of her self-titled EP in 2015. “It’s been so much fun for me. I just finished up the album in L.A. I’m super excited for that to come out.”

Daya previewed a track from the upcoming album at the show, performing “Cool." “Sonically I think it’s going to be sort of a continuation of the EP, except it’s going to be a little bit more electronic, kind of like electro-pop, more indie I guess,” said Daya.
The pop singer also performed her biggest pop hit thus far, the Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down.”

A highlight for many at the concert was 5 Seconds of Summer. With the longest set of the night, the pop-rock boy band performed 14 singles, including Hot 100 hits “She’s Kinda Hot,” “Amnesia,” “Good Girls,” “She Looks So Perfect” and “Girls Talk Boys,” off the 2016 Ghostbusters soundtrack.
The 5SOS boys jokingly revealed to Billboard that they hope to be involved in more movie soundtracks, with their top choice being a Titanic remake. Band member Michael Clifford hoped to “rock it up a little bit” — their rendition would be “Celine Dion but the style of Guns N' Roses.”

If creating their own ideal Pandora playlist, 5SOS told Billboard they would choose themselves: “I was picturing myself on a drive somewhere. I’m going to put this playlist on, it’s fun and upbeat,” said Calum Hood.
Crowd pleaser Fergie performed a medley of fan favorites, including “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Glamorous,” “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)” and new single “M.I.L.F.$.”

In bomber jackets and a latex bodysuit, the pop singer really brought the energy. She also performed hits from her time with the Black Eyed Peas, including “Imma Be,” “Boom Boom Pow,” ”Meet Me Halfway,” “Pump It,” as well as Kanye West’s “All of The Lights.” Fergie’s set included crowd participation in wishing the artist’s son, Axl Jack Duhamel, an early birthday.
Fergie ended her run through past hits with the Black Eyed Peas' “I Gotta Feeling.”
