WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) has postponed his rematch with former champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) for a second time because he is "medically unfit to fight".
Fury dethroned the Ukrainian on points in the first bout last November.
The unbeaten Briton pulled out of the original July 9 rematch after he injured his ankle and now the fight, scheduled for October 29 in Manchester, will be postponed for a second time.
A statement from team Fury read: "Tyson has, this week, been declared medically unfit to fight. Medical specialists have advised that the condition is too severe to allow him to participate in the rematch and that he will require treatment before going back into the ring. Tyson will now immediately undergo the treatment he needs to make a full recovery.
"Tyson is understandably devastated by the development."
No further details were immediately given in the statement as to Fury's medical condition.
