The body of a Long Island teen who vanished Tuesday was discovered in a wooded area near his home on Wednesday morning, FOX5 reported.

Police did not immediately identify the cause of death but said it did not appear to be criminal.

The body of 14-year-old Nickolas Donnelly was found around 7:50 a.m. near his Shoreham home. Donnelly disappeared after he left home for a jog at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. He was not carrying an ID or cell phone with him, News12 reported.

Police used aviation units and K-9s in a search for Donnelly that lasted late into Tuesday, Riverhead Local reported.
